Emmanuel lives with his mother in an uncompleted building in Lugbe village. His father died in a car accident leaving them with nothing to survive on and therefore, going to school was not an option.
However, Emmanuel’s relentless effort to become a student despite his obvious condition got him noticed by EF and he was immediately given scholarship to pursue his dream. Soon, he was able to display his talent as an artist for he has shown his passion in drawing. Prosper was ten years old and was in primary 5 when his father died. He dropped out of school because his mother who has been battling with cancer of the breast could not provide for him and his sister because of her condition. Luckily, Prosper’s mother was introduced to EF by her neighbor who is a beneficiary widow at the foundation.
Immediately, EF provided Prosper and his sister with food, accommodation and scholarship to return to school. Prosper is currently in SS 2 working hard and looking forward to writing his SSCE examination.

Naimat Abubakar

Naimat lives with her mother at Agwa Gurugu, a remote village in Keffi, Nassarawa State. Her mother is a peasant farmer who is working hard to earn some money so that she will be able to pay for her children’s education. Eventually, Naimat dropped out of school to help her mother out in the farm because her mother alone can only barely produce enough for feeding.
On discovering Naimat, EF gave her scholarship to continue her education from where she had stopped which was JSS 1. Presently she is a science student in SS 2 who is hoping to become a mathematician. MY STORY :
Solomon’s parents came to the FCT from Oyo state in search of greener pasture. His father before his death was a fashion designer while his mother, a petty trader. Currently, his mother is a registered widow at EF since her husband’s death in 2009, while Solomon himself is one of the beneficiaries of EF’s “Sponsor a Child” scholarship program.
Through the EF’s scholarship program, Solomon was able to complete his secondary school and have now gained admission into to the university to study economics. MY STORY :
Esther and her two younger siblings lived a comfortable life when their father was alive. They had a home in a beautiful neighborhood and they went to a very good school. Unfortunately, all these were lost when their father died. Her uncles accused their mother of killing her husband and threw them out of their house as well as seizing all of their father’s wealth from them.
Suddenly, they were living a hardship; feeding became almost impossible, all the kids dropped out of school and Esther was forced into hawking sachet water in the streets to earn for her family.
On discovering Esther and her siblings, EF provided scholarships to enable them to return to school to further their education and Esther was able to complete her secondary school.
Esther is currently looking for admission into any university to study Social Development. In the meantime, she is helping her here mother in petty trading so that they may support themselves with feeding and shelter. Please support Esther and her siblings by donating to save a child today.
