BLIND CHILDREN IN RUGA VILLAGE

Between 2020 - 2022, more than twenty children have gone permanently blind in Ruga Village, Ruga is one of the villages in the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria with population of about 5,000 people, we conducted a research and we traced this incident to poor source of water supply, open defecation and poor sanitation and hygiene. We aim to provide the community with pipe borne water and three (3) modern toilets

Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC)

Orphans and vulnerable children anywhere in the world are among the most at risk groups. They are often at the mercy of harsh weather, in conflict with the law, attempting to escape abuse or struggling to make it to the next day. However, reintegrating them to the society start with education, Elizabeth Foundation has identified with 500 of these children. We aim at providing scholarship education that will cover their feeding, accommodation and tuition/school fee. Over 50% of 10.5 million Out - of - School are orphans, when orphans are properly catered for, this escalated school drop out will reduce drastically
